Trout are routinely stocked by the California Department of Fish and Game . The lake also has a significant stripped bass population along with catfish, large mouth bass and crappie. Striped Bass have been caught weighing over 50 pounds.

There is an entry gate fee of $8.00 per vehicle and a boat launch fee of $8.00. Due to the self-pay situation at the front gate, it's advisable to bring the correct cash or a check.
