Uzes is a very charming town with less than 1000 inhabitants. Although it is pretty small it still functions as a regional centre for the region.
Following the nomination of Uzès as a 'Town of Art' in 1962 the historic centre was beauitfully restored. Visitors can now enjoy the narrow streets, alleys and old-style squares, enhanced by the medieval towers that dominate the old town. Main sights include the Duchy and the Tour Fenestrelle. The town also boasts the Musee de Bonbon which is a treat for children and grown ups alike.
