Thane, an ancient city, is making history again. It was once a very important fort for Shivaji and today it is fast emerging as a transport hub and preferred home for thousands of Mumbaikars. Says Madhav Natu, partner, Natu Paranjpe Builders, Thane has become more accessible both by railway, and by road. It is very safe and you can reach here at any time of day or night. The infrastructure development, especially the widening of the roads has shortened commute time and given the city a new breath of life.

Thane was once just a city bordering Thane creek with a few settlements here and there, but mostly jungle. Today, projects are sold out even before they are constructed. The city is spreading and growing in all directions.
