There are free tours starting on the steps of Memorial Auditorium pretty much every day at 11:00am and 3:15pm. Be sure to check http://events.stanford.edu/ to see if anything of interest is happening on the day of your visit (always lots of stuff going on).

Stanford is also home to SLAC, the Stanford Linear Accelerator.  They offer tours and can be visited at http://www.slac.stanford.edu/
