This could well be considered the finest of the mountain areas in the Outamba-kilimi national parkMont Caroux at the top can be easily reached from {St Pons de Thomière] via Fraises, from Olargues or form Lamalou-les-Bains. A side road to the pretty and well conserved village of Douch gives access to a footpath which ascends to Mont Caroux. The view south is not apparent until you reach the top and is superb.
