Medora is the gateway to the South Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The town is very much tied to the history of the West. The Medora Museum gives you a good intro in the history of the northern plains through a collection of Native American and frontier artifacts and other memorabilia. In the centre you also find a historic district of restored buildings constructed in the 1880s. Another attraction is the Chateau de Mores a restored chateau of the towns founder, the Marquis de Mores.
