Kohat, A major town of the North-West Frontier Province . It is a division and district headquarter. The town is 37 m. south of Peshawar by the Dara Adam Khel( Kohat Pass ), along which a military road was opened in 1901. The famous and dangerous bounteous road over the Kotal post is now bypassed by most beautiful Kohat Tunnel. Kohat is linked to Islamabad and is 100 miles west and now a comfortable highway links Kohat to Bannu and Waziristan and to Zoab Baluchistan and on other side Indus High links to Multan and Karachi and Sindh. On the west road leads to Hangu, Thal and Kurram Agency.
