Heber City sits in a pleasant mountain valley, east and south of Salt Lake City and Park City. It's a nice little town, with the usual assortment of cafes, diners, motels, and other necessities. The big draws are the nearby Deer Creek Reservoir, and the famous Heber Valley Railroad, a remnant of the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad from the 19th century. The railroad features a good collection of locomotives and cars, and has been seen in many movies and television specials. Check their webside for an up-to-date schedule of trips. The trains run up the scenic Provo Canyon to Bridal Veil Falls.
