Spanish explorer Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo set a precedent for future chamber of commerce officials when he described the Central Coast as 'the land of endless summers.' A tranquil expanse between Los Angeles and San Francisco, this region is tagged the Middle Kingdom. It is a realm of small towns in lovely settings, with peaceful quiet beaches, and beautiful evergreen forests. Agriculture defines life amid the golden rolling hills, and the many coastal locales make idyllic destinations.

The Central Coast is by far one of the most beautiful, peaceful, and most scenic part of California. Some of the most visited places along the Central Coast are San Fransisco, Los Angeles, Morro Bay, Hearst Castle, Pacifica, Ventura County, Solvang, and Monterrey Bay.

San marcos Pass above Santa barbara  stop in and see Los olivos (art galleries, western shops)

Pismo Beach which is a  family oriented beach town. 

Splash Cafe with the best chowder in California. Next door is Avila Beach, a small town that reminds you of California in 60s warmest beach on the coast. Stay at Inn at Avila beach. A real find with a roof top deck with tvs and bbqs grills.

San Luis Obispo has wonderful street fair every Thursday night.

Drive up HWY 1 see Hearst  Castle but just 5 miles above it  is the largest sea elephant herd in California: Big Sur. Don't miss the neptune gallery and view, eat at Rivers Inn which has wonderful food and sit at Dejeans Big Sur Inn.
