The famous Pegasus Bridge is there with its Café Gondrée which was the first house in France to be liberated during the night of the 5th-6th of June 1944 by the British gliders of Major Howard.
The Café Gondrée is still open for visitors from March to November, it serves refreshments and sells postcards.
Next to the famous Pegasus Bridge is the Pegasus Memorial museum. Closed in December and January.
Within a walking distance is the Château of Bénouville which can be visited specially during exhibitions.
