Located in the east of Algeria, Vgayeth or Bougie as known for centuries to the inhabitants -the Kabyles- For the central arab goverment it is called Bejaia) is a pretty city and regional centre.
From the geographical point of view, Vgayeth or Bougie (Bejaia) is surounded in the east and south-east by the Babors mountains which join the Bibans mountains in the south, by the mediteranean in the north and by the Djurdjura peaks that close the region in the ouest.
Due to political tension it receives very few tourists.
