Bartlesville is located in north east Oklahoma. The city is known as the 'city of legends'. It is home to dramatic architecture, world-renowned events and Phillips Petroleum, one of the nation's top oil companies.
The city experienced a big oil boom when Frank Phillips discovered oil; one of the major attractions in town is his Ranch. The Woolaroc Ranch houses an impressive collection of western art, artifacts and special exhibits. Also a wildlife preserve, more than 700 animals including buffalo, elk, deer and longhorn cattle gaze freely on the ranch.
For those visiting in the month of June, the National Biplane Expo and OK Mozart International Festival offer two unique event experiences.
A daytrip can be made to Dewey, where you'll find the Tom Mix Museum and Prairie Song, a recreated 1800s pioneer village.
