Antibes, in the old days (were speaking 5th century now) known as Antipolis, is a town with many remnants of the past. The town was fortified and one can still see the ramparts in and along the sea. The city has a charming centre with a lot of old, narrow winding streets and this is a good point from which to explore the interesting sights of Antibes, such as the fort and the cathedral. Picasso was one of the former residents of Antibes and they dedicated the (of course) Picasso museum to him.
