Description of Amsterdam

Amsterdam is the ubercool capital of the Netherlands. Great museums, a laid back atmosphere, lots of pubs and coffeeshops (if you know what I mean...) and a historical city center where you can wander for days through the alleys, along the canals and admire the old houses.

Hampshire Inn - Prinsengracht is situated on one of Amsterdam%u2019s most beautiful canals. This historical building is located within a 10 minutes walk from the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum. The area offers plenty of possibilities to enjoy yourself

Caffè Oslo a new (summer 2006) trendy bar/restaurant with Scandanavian design and Italian food (hence the name). No tourists here just the locals. They have a nice terrace and very friendly personnel.

The Leidsestraat has many shops and cheap eateries, but to find more interesting shops you need to stroll around the Nine Streets just off the Leidsestraat.

Although the building itself isn't attractive and there isn't a lot to see, the Anne Frank House is still a very impressive place to visit.

I was at club eleven when the group Mu was performing. Great ambiance, decent prices and awesome view. I also really liked the 6 massive screens on which they project seemingly random "artsy" clips.
